We have zero tolerance for sexual exploitation and abuse

At the Carpathian Foundation, we have zero tolerance for any form of sexual exploitation and abuse. It is important for us to create a safe environment for the people in a vulnerable situation whom we help, and to prevent any form of abuse, including sexual.

Based on the Policy For Protection From Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA), we commit to providing assistance and protection from sexual exploitation and abuse to all vulnerable individuals involved in our programs, as well as projects we support.

It is unacceptable for the foundation’s workers, our partners, or organizations supported by us to abuse their power and position and in any way condition or deny assistance to its recipients. This is especially true when providing services and support to people in vulnerable situations.

You can read the full text of our Policy For Protection From Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) HERE.

Support for our partners and supported organizations

For our programme partners and organizations, we financially support, we provide counseling on preventing and addressing incidents related to sexual exploitation or abuse and violations of children’s rights.

If you have become a victim or witness of such incident(s), please contact us using one of the methods provided below:

We have prepared leaflets for service recipients informing them about zero tolerance for sexual exploitation and abuse. They also contain information on how to report inappropriate behavior by foundation workers as well as workers of our partners / recipients of financial support. The leaflets are available in Slovak, Roma, and Ukrainian languages and can be downloaded here. As part of our cooperation, we recommend printing and displaying them in spaces where you work with vulnerable groups.
