At the same time, several surveys show that Roma are actively looking for jobs, but low level of education, lack of basic skills required in the labour market and racial or geographical discrimination are the main factors affecting their unemployment. Roma women at the same time experience even more extreme marginalisation, as gender discrimination and violence, to which they are often subjected, are added to mentioned denominators. All this also limits their ability to get and keep a job. Except for the gaps in education, they lack information about livelihood opportunities, but also the confidence, self-esteem, and soft skills (such as creativity, adaptability, and communication skills&#8230;) needed to take advantage of available job opportunities.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section development programme <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uprezeny.sk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">UPre \u017eeny(UFor Women)<\/a>, in cooperation with partners, who have experience with increasing the employment of the long-term unemployed- with Agent\u00fara pr\u00e1ce Banskobystrick\u00e9ho sam<a href=\"https:\/\/www.agenturapracebbsk.sk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ospr\u00e1vneho kraja (Employment Agency of The Bansk\u00e1 Bystrica Self-Governing Region)<\/a> and the organisations <a href=\"http:\/\/dede.sk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">OZ Destvo de\u0165om (Civic Association Childhood for Children)<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/kcmvk-sk6.webnode.sk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Komunitn\u00e9 centrum men\u0161\u00edn Ve\u013ek\u00fd Krt\u00ed\u0161 (Community Centre for Minorities Ve\u013ek\u00fd Krt\u00ed\u0161).<\/a><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section decisions,<\/li><li>that they will be able to gain financial independence and stability and be able to make a living,<\/li><li>that they will become agents of change in their communities and positively influence or lead other Roma women,<\/li><li>to dismantle prevailing harmful stereotypes about Roma women.<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section of work<\/strong> (writing a resume, preparing for an interview, &#8230;),<strong>financial literacy,<\/strong> and <strong>the field of personal development<\/strong> (gender equality, gender-based violence, strengthening communication skills, etc.).<\/p><p>The entire process is conducted by experts and expert organisations in the communities, with the support of <strong>mentors.<\/strong> The Carpathian Foundation also collaborates with <strong>employers<\/strong> in the regions to create job opportunities for the participants.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section class=\"elementor-icon-box-description\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\tPrior to the actual launch of the Women's UPre programme, an eponymous research study was carried out (2021) describing the situation of women \nfrom marginalised Roma communities, their status, empowerment, the journey to employment and the obstacles that stand on that road. \n<br><b>The study has 2 parts:<\/b> \n1. quantitative research into the empowerment of women from two marginalised Roma communities (Dob\u0161in\u00e1, Ve\u013ek\u00fd Krt\u00ed\u0161), <br>2. qualitative research of the \"path\" of Roma from marginalized environments (Dob\u0161in\u00e1, Ve\u013ek\u00fd Krti\u0161, Lun\u00edk IX. in Ko\u0161ice) that succeeded on the labour market. <br><br>This unique study is an excellent tool for setting up other activities and public policies aimed at developing marginalised Roma communities. We also built the UPre women's program on her knowledge and information.\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-6c71bf6 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"6c71bf6\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-a20e97a\" data-id=\"a20e97a\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-3f6bd6d elementor-position-left elementor-view-default elementor-mobile-position-top elementor-widget elementor-widget-icon-box\" data-id=\"3f6bd6d\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"icon-box.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-icon-box-wrapper\">\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-icon-box-icon\">\n\t\t\t\t<span  class=\"elementor-icon\">\n\t\t\t\t<i aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"fas fa-exclamation\"><\/i>\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-icon-box-content\">\n\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"elementor-icon-box-description\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\tAfter successful implementation of the pilot program in these locations, we plan to extend the UPre women program to other marginalized Roma communities. We also plan to establish an Inclusive Employers Platform for the Exchange of Experience between employers interested in employing Roma, especially Roma women.\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Upre \u017eeny (UFor Women) received a grant from Norway with co-financing from the state budget for the pilot project during which the team of partners and experts is going to work with 40 women from marginalized Roma communities in Ve\u013ek\u00fd Krt\u00ed\u0161 and Dob\u0161in\u00e1 in 2022 and 2023.<\/em><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-07dba1c elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"07dba1c\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50
