The supported projects focus primarily on mental health support, labor market integration, community engagement, and the creation of inclusive and tolerant communities. Special attention is given to young Ukrainian students, people with disabilities, and other groups facing various forms of disadvantage.  <\/p><p>The program also includes capacity-building for supported organizations through training, networking, and strengthening communication skills. The program\u2019s goal is not only to provide concrete assistance but also to build long-term support systems and strengthen the cohesion of communities where Ukrainian refugees and people with specific needs live together. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-90fe585 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"90fe585\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-daed991 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"daed991\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h4 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Previous Years<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-596a798 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"596a798\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6ed38b9 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"6ed38b9\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<ul><li>In 2024 and 2025, thanks to support from Global Giving, we carried out the \u201cWe Love Ukraine 3.0\u201d campaign, through which we distributed nearly <strong>60,000 euros <\/strong>among <strong>five organizations<\/strong> and helped more than <strong>1,200<\/strong> people. Read more about the organizations\u2019 activities <a href=\"https:\/\/karpatskanadacia.sk\/en\/thank-you-for-helping-us-feel-less-alone-who-did-the-we-love-ukraine-3-0-program-support\/\">HERE<\/a>. <\/li><li>In 2023, as part of the \u201cWe Love Ukraine 2.0\u201d program, we supported <strong>7 projects<\/strong> with a total of <strong>80,000 euros<\/strong> and helped <strong>1,064<\/strong> refugees.<\/li><li>The program was launched in 2022 in response to the war in Ukraine. As a result, 1,064 refugees in Slovakia received meaningful assistance, half of whom were children.The funding enabled NGOs, schools, and local municipalities to provide more systematic, long-term, and sustainable support for people displaced by the war in Ukraine. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5597e1f e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"5597e1f\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-b71141d elementor-hidden-desktop elementor-hidden-tablet elementor-hidden-mobile elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"b71141d\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The entire We Love Ukraine grant program was established in the wake of the full-scale war in Ukraine, as large numbers of Ukrainians were fleeing to Slovakia in search of safety. Its aim was to provide financial support to organizations, schools, and municipalities assisting refugees at the border and within communities in eastern Slovakia. In 2022, we distributed <strong>\u20ac172,247<\/strong> across <strong>48 projects<\/strong> focused on providing humanitarian aid, housing, childcare support, access to education, assistance with obtaining necessary documents and communicating with public authorities, support with entering the job market, and psychosocial care for people arriving from Ukraine who had been traumatized by the war. The grant scheme responded to the needs of all refugees, while placing particular emphasis on vulnerable groups such as mothers with young children, seniors, people with disabilities, Roma, and LGBTI+ individuals. Support was delivered through low-threshold, administratively simple grants, with decisions made on a weekly basis. Through this approach, <strong>14,000 refugees<\/strong> from Ukraine received support.      <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-83881bd e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"83881bd\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-fb1ca79 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"fb1ca79\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Funding for the We Love Ukraine program was allocated from <a href=\"https:\/\/karpatskanadacia.sk\/en\/our-solutions\/endowment-funds\/\"><strong>the Carpathian Foundation\u2019s Crisis Fund<\/strong><\/a>, which is used to respond to acute crisis situations of local, regional, or global nature. This fund also included contributions from the We Love Ukraine fundraising campaign, as well as support from donors and partners (see below). That is why, as part of our activities, we also focused on raising public awareness and fostering empathy around the importance of continued solidarity with refugees. We created a wide range of content for our social media channels, wrote articles, gave interviews, and also produced and published video documentaries and podcasts. Through these efforts, we reached a total of <strong>338,432<\/strong> users \u2014 including social media audiences, viewers, and readers.  <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-287ec64 elementor-hidden-desktop elementor-hidden-tablet elementor-hidden-mobile e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"287ec64\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-247812f elementor-position-inline-start elementor-view-default elementor-mobile-position-block-start elementor-widget elementor-widget-icon-box\" data-id=\"247812f\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"icon-box.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-icon-box-wrapper\">\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-icon-box-icon\">\n\t\t\t\t<span  class=\"elementor-icon\">\n\t\t\t\t<i aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"far fa-newspaper\"><\/i>\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-icon-box-content\">\n\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"elementor-icon-box-description\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\tAn interview with Regina Lovi\u0161kov\u00e1 sheds light on the trauma experienced by refugees from Ukraine and on how art therapy helps them process it \u2014 <span style=\"font-size: 15px;font-style: normal;font-weight: 400\">along with others facing trauma or emotional distress<\/span>.
