We provided financial support to <strong>five specific organizations<\/strong> that have been offering long-term assistance to Ukrainian displaced people in eastern Slovakia, helping them build a safe and meaningful life here. A total of 1,200 refugees received direct support, but the program had a much broader impact \u2014 reaching even into Ukraine. The funding helped NGOs, schools, and local municipalities make their support for refugees more systematic, long-term, and sustainable \u2014 ensuring lasting assistance for people displaced from Ukraine.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5597e1f e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"5597e1f\" data-element_type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-b71141d elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"b71141d\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The entire We Love Ukraine grant program was established in the wake of the full-scale war in Ukraine, as large numbers of Ukrainians were fleeing to Slovakia in search of safety. Its aim was to provide financial support to organizations, schools, and municipalities assisting refugees at the border and within communities in eastern Slovakia. In 2022, we distributed <strong>\u20ac172,247<\/strong> across <strong>48 projects<\/strong> focused on providing humanitarian aid, housing, childcare support, access to education, assistance with obtaining necessary documents and communicating with public authorities, support with entering the job market, and psychosocial care for people arriving from Ukraine who had been traumatized by the war. The grant scheme responded to the needs of all refugees, while placing particular emphasis on vulnerable groups such as mothers with young children, seniors, people with disabilities, Roma, and LGBTI+ individuals. Support was delivered through low-threshold, administratively simple grants, with decisions made on a weekly basis. Through this approach, <strong>14,000 refugees<\/strong> from Ukraine received support. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-83881bd e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"83881bd\" data-element_type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-fb1ca79 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"fb1ca79\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Funding for the We Love Ukraine program was allocated from <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/karpatskanadacia.sk\/en\/our-solutions\/endowment-funds\/\">the Carpathian Foundation\u2019s Crisis Fund<\/a><\/strong>, which is used to respond to acute crisis situations of local, regional, or global nature. This fund also included contributions from the We Love Ukraine fundraising campaign, as well as support from donors and partners (see below). The first round was also funded through a donor campaign we launched on Donio.sk.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f2db7a4 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"f2db7a4\" data-element_type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-53d0e72 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"53d0e72\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h4 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">The We Love Ukraine Fundraising Campaign<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-66722b2 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"66722b2\" data-element_type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6e9a6c0 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"6e9a6c0\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>After the outbreak of the full-scale war in Ukraine in February 2022, and the resulting large-scale refugee crisis across Europe, we launched <strong>the We Love Ukraine<\/strong> fundraising campaign via <a href=\"https:\/\/donio.sk\/mame-radi-ukrajinu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Donio.sk.<\/a> Our goal was to raise funds to help people arriving in Slovakia who were in urgent need of food, warm clothing, hygiene supplies, shelter, support, and many other essentials.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-9551446 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"9551446\" data-element_type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-b81e194 elementor-widget elementor-widget-image\" data-id=\"b81e194\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"image.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a Awareness<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-3d2aa1e e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"3d2aa1e\" data-element_type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-9bdb76f elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"9bdb76f\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Disinformation and hoaxes spread by pro-Kremlin propaganda influenced a portion of public opinion in Slovakia, leading some people to oppose support for refugees from Ukraine. That is why, as part of our activities, we also focused on raising public awareness and fostering empathy around the importance of continued solidarity with refugees. We created a wide range of content for our social media channels, wrote articles, gave interviews, and also produced and published video documentaries and podcasts. Through these efforts, we reached a total of <strong>338,432<\/strong> users \u2014 including social media audiences, viewers, and readers.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-af071ba e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"af071ba\" data-element_type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-deac8ec elementor-position-left elementor-view-default elementor-mobile-position-top elementor-widget elementor-widget-icon-box\" data-id=\"deac8ec\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"icon-box.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-icon-box-wrapper\">\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-icon-box-icon\">\n\t\t\t\t<span  class=\"elementor-icon\">\n\t\t\t\t<i aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"fas fa-video\"><\/i>\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-icon-box-content\">\n\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"elementor-icon-box-description\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\tThe video From War to Paradise tells the story of a young woman, Olha Kalinenko, who was forced to flee from the bombed city of Kyiv to protect her young daughter and start a new life in a completely unfamiliar country, without her husband. Over time, her sister Anastasia joined her, and together they made their way to a small village in the Slovensk\u00fd raj (Slovak Paradise), where they found new friendships with local residents. The video captures both difficult times and beautiful moments, as well as powerful personal stories.\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element
