Adult project participants \u2013 teachers, artists and creative industry professionals were the secondary target group of the project.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The main goal <\/strong><strong>of the project was to<\/strong><strong> form a\u00a0cross-border group of young activists <\/strong>\u2013 <a href=\"http:\/\/genwe.guru\/sk\/domov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Carpathian Regional Youth Council (GenWe)<\/a> to serve as the project vision bearer in the future. The project created an innovative platform for young people interested in public matters, decision-making processes and their own development. This was made possible thanks to the transfer of experience from the Norwegian project partner, Barents Youth Council.<\/p>\n<p>The project was financed from Norway Funds and from the state budget of the Slovak Republic within the scope of the SK08 CBC Programme.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6a822db elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"6a822db\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h4 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Project Activities <\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-43ccc01 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"43ccc01\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<ul>\n<li><strong>Opening Conference <\/strong>aiming to promote creativity in practical life and indicate how it can help to develop a\u00a0city or a\u00a0region was held on 24 November 2015.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Informal meeting, <\/strong>Slovak \u2013 Ukrainian youth meeting <strong>\u201cThink Globally, Act Across the Borders\u201d (25 \u2013 28 August 2016)<\/strong>\u00a0was held in Spi\u0161sk\u00e1 Sobota and attended by 17 young active people from the Ko\u0161ice and Pre\u0161ov self-governing regions and from Zakarpattya (10 Slovak and 7 Ukrainian participants). The aim of the meeting was to prepare a\u00a0draft of the system of functioning and securing funding for the cross-border youth organisation GenWe.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ko\u0161ice and Uzhgorod Creative Days <\/strong>were held in order to identify local and regional needs which can only be addressed in cooperation with local or regional institutions. These networking events were organized to establish contacts and partnerships among stakeholders. Creative Days led to Creative Tasks \u2013 creative projects for young project participants who used them to address real issues concerning their local self-government, schools, public institutions, etc. more information about the event and tasks can be found <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cike.sk\/sk\/novinka\/398-za-dva-dni-sme-nakopli-generation-2020\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Case Study\u00a0in the Granary (<\/strong>Jablonov nad Tur\u0148ou) \u2013\u00a0the closing meeting of creative teams took place on 28 \u2013 29 October 2016.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Training activities and soft skills trainings <\/strong>for young people to help them implement their creative projects successfully.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kair.sk\/5x2-uzhgorod-kosice\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Slovak-Ukrainian Artist in Residence Programme<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<li><strong>Closing Conference<\/strong> entitled <em>\u201cTransforming Borders into Opportunities\u201d<\/em> was held on 9\u00a0February\u00a02017 in the Barvinok municipality in the Uzhgorod region. The aim of the conference was to present creative projects\u2019 outcomes, evaluate their implementation and outline their future. Conference participants included young people, experts, non-profit organizations, local self-governments, representatives of regional state administration as well as members of the public. It was also the first opportunity for the international youth group GenWe to present their activities over the Eastern border.
