Managing a refugee crisis of this magnitude is only possible thanks to volunteers, NGOs, local governments, and a few passionate people in government. That’s also why we launched the campaign M\u00e1me radi Ukrajinu (We Love Ukraine). The donated money will be redistributed among NGOs, non-profit organisations, local governments, and schools in Eastern Slovakia that help refugees. Organisations working with Roma refugees and the issue of human trafficking will receive special attention.<\/h5>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t3,2 million<\/strong> people in the first 3 weeks since the start of the war fled Ukraine, 221,000<\/strong> Ukrainians have arrived in Slovakia, and these numbers are growing every day. Some of them are just passing through our country, others are staying for a short or even a long time. They are accommodated in various facilities or private dwellings in eastern Slovakia and need basic hygiene supplies, food, clothes, help with registration, and processing the trauma they have endured. They need comprehensive help to get back on their feet, find income and secure their livelihoods.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThe Roma in Ukraine is a group that needs a specific approach. These refugees do not receive as many accommodations offers, they do not trust the authorities and communication with them also requires the presence of Roma interpreters. The campaign will therefore focus specifically on organizations working with Roma refugees<\/strong>. In addition, it will focus on the prevention of human trafficking<\/strong>, as there have been more cases where traffickers have tried to exploit the plight of lonely women coming to Slovakia.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
