The Carpathian Foundation, in cooperation with the Marathon Club Košice, and with the ĽudiaĽuďom.sk portal bring a unique opportunity to support projects in Eastern Slovakia aimed at the people who need it most.
Our thanks go to all runners who ran with heart in 2018 in the 95th Košice Peace Marathon, thus supporting families of children with cancer, helping to improve the situation of vulnerable families and young visually impaired people; as well as to all donors who have donated through the ludialudom.sk portal.

In 2018, the Run with Heart programme raised €5,507 for three amazing organisations that help people in Eastern Slovakia:
- Svetielko pomoci: funds for a mobile hospice for children with cancer and for accommodation, food and transportation for their families;
- OZ Podaj ďalej: funds were used for Sebastian’s and Viktoria’s family and covered some construction adjustments in their flat, paid for school lunches and bought some basic stuff such as food, drugstore goods, school things and medication.
Únia nevidiacich a slabozrakých Slovenska, Košice: funds were used to help a 13-year-old, Attila, whose sight was severely affected as a result of cancer, to provide him with a work space where he could study and work independently.
How we used your donations
100% of donations were used for charitable and publicly beneficial purposes. The organisation chosen by donors received 90% of the donation and the Carpathian Foundation used 10% of the sum donated to ensure directed and transparent donation spending and also to gain as many donors as possible.
