Petra Vancová

Together with a friend, Petra founded and led for four years www.kresky.sk – a temporary tattoos designed by Slovak illustrators. Later, she founded the Aha! museum for children in Prešov to promote informal education and playful learning. The museum brought beautiful interactive educational exhibitions about science and art to children, parents, and educators.

She also has experience in the private sector – she worked at VSE Holding, where she coordinated cooperation with schools, prepared competitions and various joint activities, and managed study and scholarship programs. She was also responsible for promoting the mental health of their employees, diversity, sustainability, and employer branding She also managed social media and internal and external communication

In Vancouver, Canada, she worked for the non-profit organization W2 – organizing and preparing community events of all types and sizes, from local networking or educational meetings to large literary festivals.

She studied Political Science at Comenius University in Bratislava and Fundraising and Non-Profit Management at BCIT in Vancouver, Canada.

She loves being surrounded by a vibrant atmosphere, which is why she enjoys traveling, culture, and events with her family and friends. However, she also enjoys a moment of solitude with a good book or podcast. She has two daughters, Hanička and Helenka.

At the Carpathian Foundation she currently works as a coordinator for MyMachine Slovakia programme.
