Proper communication is important for good relationships. To communicate well is even more important in times of conflict. Conflicts are present in every society; in communities permanently marked by generational poverty the conflicts can arise more easily and can have worse impact on interested parties.
Therefore, on June 25-26, 2020, The Carpathian Foundation organized within the project “Chance for children from disadvantaged backgrounds” of program lnterreg V-A Slovak Republic – Hungary, Small Projects Fund, a two-days seminar on “Communication in conflict” for representatives of organizations and school teachers who are working with children from marginalized Roma communities. The lecturers were representatives of PDCS o.z., who have the experience with trainings of conflict solving in such disadvantaged communities for a long time.
The two-days seminar met the expectations of the participants. In addition to the theory, the participants could explore conflict resolution in real situations as well as try out some conflict solving techniques directly at the seminar. The Carpathian Foundation will continue in organizing similar useful educational activities in the future.
