Delivering humanitarian aid to areas near the front lines is far from guaranteed. However, thanks to the support of international donors, long-standing partnerships, and the courage of our dedicated volunteers, we were able to continue our missions in Ukraine. We even reached some of the hardest-hit regions near the borders with Russia and Belarus.

The third round of the We Love Ukraine program brought tangible support to nearly 1,200 Ukrainian displaced people in eastern Slovakia. They gained language skills, employment, new connections and a sense of belonging. They were supported by professionals and community members alike, with respect and understanding.

What is life really like in Luník IX? What opportunities do its residents have? And is everything said about this community actually true? These were some of the questions posed by students from St. Basil the Great Secondary Medical School in Prešov, who visited Luník IX as part of the “Tune Out Your STEREOtypes” program.

An annual report is more than just a legal obligation. It’s an opportunity to showcase to our partners, donors, supporters, and the public all that we’ve accomplished in 2024.

In early January, we launched the grant call for the Magna pre región program, which attracted 22 applicants with projects aimed at breaking down prejudices, strengthening inclusion, and involving disadvantaged groups in community life. A total of nine organizations received grant support.

Imagine two plants. One grows in rich, nourishing soil, regularly watered, with ample sunlight and space. The other struggles to sprout from the cracks of a dry sidewalk, fighting for every ray of light and drop of moisture.
